Which copy of a repeated line is kept?
The first one, in the place and with the capitals it had in your list. Later copies are removed. With Ignore case on, "Apple" and "apple" count as the same line, and whichever comes first is kept.
What do Ignore case and Trim spaces do?
Ignore case treats lines that differ only in capital letters as the same line. Trim spaces removes spaces and tabs at the start and end of each line before comparing, so "apple " and "apple" match; spaces inside a line are always kept.
What does Compare two lists show?
Paste one list as A and another as B. You get the lines only in A, the lines only in B, the lines in both, and A and B combined with each line once, each with a count. Blank lines are skipped when comparing.
Is my text sent anywhere or saved?
No. Your lines are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server or saved, so reloading the page clears them. Copy or download the result before you leave.
