Many images, one PDF

A PDF is often the easiest way to send a set of pictures: receipts for an expense claim, photos of a signed form, screenshots for a report, or pages scanned with a phone. It keeps them in order, opens on any device, and goes as one attachment instead of twenty. This tool puts each image on its own page of a single PDF, whatever mix of formats you start with.

How to make the PDF

  1. Choose up to 50 images, each up to 50 MB: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF or BMP. You can also drop them or paste one.
  2. Put them in order with the arrows; the first image is page 1.
  3. Pick a page size, then press Make PDF and download it.

Page size choices

  • Same as each image: every page is exactly the size of its picture, with no borders. Best for screenshots and photos you'll view on screen.
  • A4 or Letter: every page is a standard sheet, and each image is fitted to it, keeping its shape. Best when the PDF might be printed. "Match each image" turns wide pictures to landscape pages; the half-inch margin leaves a white border, which many printers need.

How each format is handled

JPGs are placed in the PDF byte for byte, so their quality doesn't change, and their hidden photo details, such as GPS location, are removed first. PNGs keep their full quality and any transparency. WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP can't be stored in a PDF as they are, so they're converted once: AVIF photos to JPG at high quality, and WebP, GIF and BMP to PNG, which loses nothing. A sideways phone photo comes out upright. An animated GIF contributes its first frame.

After you've made it

If the PDF is too big to send, Compress PDF can shrink its photos. To add more pages later, make a second PDF and join them with Merge PDF. If all your images are JPGs, JPG to PDF does the same job with help written just for photos.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mix JPG, PNG and other formats in one PDF?
Yes. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP images can all go into the same PDF, one image per page, in the order you set.
How do I change the order of the pages?
Use the arrows next to each image in the list. The first image becomes page 1.
Will my photos lose quality?
JPGs go into the PDF exactly as they are. PNGs keep their quality and transparency. WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP images are converted once, at high quality, because PDF can’t hold those formats directly.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The PDF is made in your browser and saved straight to your device.
