Why convert SVG to JPG
SVG is the format designers use for logos, icons, charts and illustrations, because it stays sharp at any size. Plenty of places don’t accept it, though: many upload forms, print shops, office programs and older apps ask for JPG specifically. This tool draws each SVG as a JPG on a white background, at the size you choose.
How to convert
- Choose up to 30 SVG files, each up to 10 MB. You can also drop them on the box.
- Pick a size, and leave the quality at 92 or change it.
- Press Convert to JPG, then download each JPG, or all of them together as a ZIP.
Size and quality
The SVG is redrawn at the size you pick, so even 4× comes out sharp. “Its own size” uses the width and height written in the SVG; small icons are often only 24 or 48 pixels, which is why 2× is the default. A fixed width keeps the shape. The quality, from 1 to 100, sets how much detail the JPG keeps. It defaults to 92 because SVGs are usually graphics, and JPG blurs sharp edges and text first; lower it only if the file must be smaller.
White background, and what isn’t drawn
JPG has no transparency, so anything see-through in the SVG is filled with white. Your browser draws the SVG as a plain image: scripts inside it don’t run, and nothing is loaded from the internet. Fonts and pictures the SVG links to elsewhere aren’t drawn, and text in a font your device lacks uses a similar one; the result says when the SVG links out. An SVG that gives no size at all is taken as 300 × 150 pixels, the size browsers use.
- Names:
chart.svgbecomeschart.jpg. A file that isn’t a valid SVG gets its own message, and the rest still convert. To keep a transparent background, use SVG to PNG.
