How to rotate an image
- Choose up to 30 images, each up to 50 MB: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF or BMP.
- Pick a turn, and a flip if you need one.
- Press Rotate images, then download each one, or all of them as a ZIP.
Turning and flipping
- 90° to the right turns the picture clockwise, the fix for most sideways photos; 90° to the left turns it the other way; 180° turns it upside down.
- Mirror left to right swaps the sides, as in a mirror: useful for selfies, where the front camera flips text, or for a design that should face the other way.
- Flip top to bottom turns it over vertically, like a reflection in water.
When you choose both, the picture is turned first, then flipped as you see it. A turn and a flip together can give the same result as another turn, so check the preview of the result before downloading.
Sideways phone photos
A phone often saves a photo sideways, with a small note inside the file telling apps how to turn it. Some apps, websites and printers ignore the note, so the photo shows sideways for them. This tool reads the note, applies it, and then adds your turn, so the result is stored truly upright and looks the same everywhere. If a photo looks right on your phone but wrong elsewhere, choose “No turn”: applying the note alone fixes it.
What you get
Each image keeps its format and its full resolution; width and height swap after a quarter turn. JPG and WebP are saved again at quality 92, which is very close to the original, and PNG keeps every pixel. Camera details, such as GPS location, aren’t copied into the result. Names get “-rotated” added. To cut away part of a picture, use Crop Image; to turn PDF pages, Rotate PDF.
